Q:Why did someone send me Canned Raccoon? I'm a vegetarian!

A: Well, if you received it from us, go ahead and open it. It's not a real raccoon, but a nice, soft, fuzzy, cuddly stuffed (plush) toy one. The same is true for any other canned animal that you may have received from us.

Q: I'm afraid to open my Canned Critter. Will something "jump out" at me?

A: Our products are not "pop-ups". They are cute, cuddly critters who prefer to rest in their cans (unless they have someone to play with). You may have to give the shy, little fellow a gentle tug to coax him out of the can, especially the first time.

Q: Why do some of my cans have pull-top lids and the others are sealed like a can of soup? How do I open the second kind?

A: Our Mini Canned Critters have a pull top lid, and a plastic resealable lid (with a sticker). We wanted them to be different from our original Canned Critters, which are indeed sealed like a "can of soup". For these, you guessed it, you have to use an actual household can opener. The reason - well, we just think it's a cool way to be unique. While we pride ourselves in the safety of our products, we do recommend that all of our cans be opened only with adult supervision.

Q: How do I clean my Canned Critter without harming him? I was eating breakfast this morning and he "jumped" (honest!) into my strawberry yogurt - oops!

A: Our Critters are all hand washable in warm water and mild soap. Let them air dry and then fluff to restore their original appearance. Hopefully, the yogurt won't leave a stain - we suggest you wash the little fellow right away, before the yogurt dries, if possible. Consider putting your critter in his can before you eat, so he won't be able to jump around and your yogurt will be safe!

Q: How many Canned Critters are there?

A: Currently, we have over 45 original Canned Critters and 18 Mini Canned Critters. We are always looking to add new critters, so these families will continue to grow. Keep reading to find out how you can suggest new additions!

Q: Where can I find more Canned Critters?

A: In stores across the United States, Canada and some other countries around the world. While we don't have a list of stores on our website, we encourage you to check with local retailers to see if they carry our product. Many stores have a selection of our Critters, but few have them all. We do offer the option of ordering directly from this website (minimum $25 plus S&H), where you will find our entire collection of Canned Critters and Mini Canned Critters. Payment by credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express) is required prior to shipment.

Q: Do you have any Canned ........?

A: Maybe..... We could list all the ones we have right here, but we think it is more fun to send you on a "Critter Hunt" to try to track down your favorite animal. Be sure to check both the original Canned Critters and the newer Mini Canned Critters in our Shopping Catalog. Happy hunting!

Q: What will your next Canned Critter or Mini Canned Critter be?

A: That's a secret (which means we really don't know!). Our new critters take quite a while to develop, so we generally don't let the cat out of the bag until we are certain of when we can ship the little guys. Q: Do you have Special Edition, Collectible or Retirement Critters?

A: In one word, No. We like to think all our Critters are special and worth collecting, but we do not promote them as that type of product. We want people to enjoy them for what they are - high quality, affordable, fun, fuzzy, cuddly gifts. As for retirement, we do not make formal plans to retire any critters at a preset time or quantity, although we may have to discontinue certain ones over time as we add new critters.
