Our super soft plush material ranges from 1mm to 3mm in length. The cans are all locally sourced and assembled while our plush are made in Indonesia and China in factories with the best safety ratings and testing facilities. Each product is rigorously tested for child safety.

TURTLE: Chelonia reptilla
The turtle species have survived for more than 200 million years and are descendants from the age of the dinosaurs. They live in most parts of the world except for areas of extreme cold. Their habitats range from deserts to swamps to oceans. The size of turtles varies from some that are a few inches in length to the nine foot long leatherback turtle that may weigh up to 1,500 lbs (680 kgs).
The turtle’s shell protects them from most of their enemies and contributes to their long lives that range from 15 to more than 100 years. They also live longer than any other vertebrate. Their shell consists of bone and a covering that is similar to human fingernails. Most turtles eat anything that is available to them, ranging from insects to small animals, fish and plants. They do not have teeth but utilize the sharp edges of their jaws.

We are often asked how to sanitize stuffed animals.

It's easy to do. You'll need a container, mild soap or detergent, and a spot for your Canned Critter or Mini Canned Critter to air dry. Some folks like to use clothes pins and an outdoor drying line. 

How to give your new Canned Critter friend a bath:

1. Fill a little tub with cool water and mild detergent.
2. Hand wash your Canned Critter until they are nice and clean.
3. Rinse and air dry.
